\"\"Stormont Vail Health<\/a>, a Topeka, Kansas based nonprofit integrated health system, has appointed Mark Slyter<\/a> as President & Chief Executive Officer, effective May 15, 2025. Stormont Vail Health partnered with Buffkin \/ Baker on the executive search.<\/p>

In his role as President & CEO, Mark will be responsible for overseeing all strategy and operations across hospitals, clinics, and subsidiaries, ensuring effective execution of the strategic plan, budget, and policies. He will serve as a key representative of the board and formulate Stormont Vail\u2019s mission and vision, foster a culture of quality and safety, and provide leadership to medical staff and team members. Additionally, Mark will collaborate with the board on governance, financial oversight, and long-term strategic planning to drive Stormont Vail\u2019s continued success.<\/p>

Mark joins Stormont Vail from Dignity Health, where he served as President & CEO, Arizona\u2019s East Valley Market. There, he recruited to drive market expansion, enhance performance, and foster a high-reliability culture across safety, quality, service, people, and finance in a $2B, 1,000-bed and 8,000-employee market. Mark holds a master\u2019s degree in health services administration from The University of Kansas and a Doctor of Science in Health Services Administration from University of Alabama at Birmingham.<\/p>

Stormont Vail Health is a nonprofit integrated health system that has served the healthcare needs of Kansas for more than 130 years. Stormont Vail has been recognized as a Magnet\u00ae organization since 2009 by the American Nurses Credentialing Center. It is composed of Stormont Vail Hospital in Topeka, a 586-bed acute care hospital, Stormont Vail Flint Hills Hospital in Junction City, a 92-bed acute care hospital, Stormont Vail Health Manhattan Campus, a primary care, specialty care, and imaging clinic, and Cotton O’Neil Clinic, a multi-specialty physician group with more than 500 providers, including more than 270 physicians.
